The heavy spherical glass body is cut in a magnificent all-over pattern of hobstars, fans, and diamond crosshatching — the cuts deep, sharp, and brilliantly clear, refracting light in every direction. The glass has the exceptional weight and clarity of fine American Brilliant Period lead crystal, circa 1880–1915.
