Antique Rococo Silver-Plated Vanity Hair Brush with Deeply Embossed Scrollwork and Rose Motifs
Lavish, romantic, and exquisitely detailed — this antique silver-plated vanity hair brush is the most ornate of the Victorian era styles, featuring an all-over deeply embossed Rococo design that covers every inch of the back and handle. Swirling acanthus scrolls, full-blown roses, and foliate flourishes cascade across the entire surface, all framing a central cartouche reserve — blank and ready for a monogram, or simply beautiful as it is.
The handle continues the Rococo theme with more scrollwork and floral embossing terminating in a rounded spade tip. Turn it over and you'll find the original natural boar bristles in excellent condition, set within a rounded rectangular silver frame edged with a fine beaded silver rim — the same elegant finishing detail seen on the finest vanity pieces of the era.
