A stunning pair of vintage Federal Glass Art Deco clear pressed glass horse head bookends — one of the most beloved and collectible bookend forms of the 20th century. Each bookend is sculpted as a beautifully detailed horse head with a flowing mane, bowed neck, and expressive face, all rendered in heavy, brilliantly clear glass with a warm slight amber tint characteristic of vintage pressed glass. The arched rectangular base is thick and solid, keeping each piece firmly upright. Attributed to Federal Glass Company — originally paper-labeled.

The glass catches light from every angle — place these on a sunlit shelf and they practically glow. Federal Glass Company of Columbus, Ohio produced these iconic horse head bookends in the mid-20th century and they remain highly sought after by equestrian enthusiasts, Art Deco collectors, and vintage glass lovers alike.
