Antique Art Nouveau Silver-Plated Vanity Hair Brush with Fan Repousse Back and Beaded Rim
Sculptural, dramatic, and unmistakably Art Nouveau — this antique silver-plated vanity hair brush is a stunning example of turn-of-the-century decorative design. The back features a breathtaking fan or feather repousse design with deeply ribbed fluting that radiates from the handle through the full width of the brush head, creating a bold, almost architectural silhouette that is completely unlike any standard vanity brush.
The handle continues the ribbed fluting all the way to a scalloped shell terminal at the base — every inch of this brush is considered and beautifully executed. Turn it over and you'll find the original natural boar bristles in excellent condition, set within a scalloped silver frame edged with a fine beaded silver rim — an elegant finishing detail that speaks to the quality of the piece.
