Antique Victorian French Pressed Glass Perfume Cologne Bottle with Faceted Stopper and Paneled Body
Sparkling, elegant, and timelessly beautiful — this antique French pressed glass perfume or cologne bottle is a quintessential Victorian dressing table accessory. The clear glass body has a sophisticated paneled octagonal form with gently concave oval reserves on each face that catch and refract the light in the most lovely way, giving the bottle an almost cut-glass appearance.
The bottle is topped with its original ground glass stopper — a large faceted octagonal disc with a stepped neck that fits snugly into the bottle opening. The stopper has a wonderful architectural quality, its flat facets creating a starburst of light from above. The glass has the characteristic subtle warmth and slight irregularities of antique hand-pressed production.
